OUR CHARITIES

Foundation for Blind Children

Est. 1952

The Foundation for Blind Children serves the blind and visually impaired of all ages, from birth to currently 102 years old. As the only agency of its kind in Arizona, the Foundation for Blind Children is an essential resource to families and children with blindness or low vision. They provide a well-rounded system of programs and services, to optimize the blind, or visually-impaired child's development. They also offer many opportunities to lead a meaningful and productive life, starting with infancy, through preschool, elementary and secondary education throughout college and adulthood.

MISSION:

To provide education, tools and services that enable all persons with vision loss to achieve greater independence.

VISION:

To have a world where vision loss is a diagnosis, not a disability.

Delta Gamma Foundation

Est. 1951

The Delta Gamma Foundation fosters lifetime enrichment for members, promotes Service for Sight and partners with the Fraternity to ensure the future of our sisterhood. Our dedicated members and friends make this mission possible through philanthropy, service and generous gifts to the Foundation which support our three signature programs: Service for Sight, Grants to the Fraternity for Leadership and Educational Programming and Grants to Individual Members.

SERVICE FOR SIGHT:

Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and conservation. This philanthropy has been at the heart of the Delta Gamma mission since 1936 when a member who was blind, Ruth Billow, Eta-Akron, petitioned to adopt “Aid to the Blind” as our official philanthropy.

The Foundation for Blind Children is an official Delta Gamma School for Children with Visual Impairments.
